Getting Started
1. Create Your Account
Start by creating a free account to get your first compliance audit:
- Click "Start for free" on the homepage
- Enter your email and create a secure password
- Verify your email address
- You'll be redirected to the onboarding wizard
2. Add Your Hospital
Provide basic information about your hospital:
- Hospital Name: Your facility's official name
- CMS Certification Number (CCN): Your 6-digit CCN
- Location: City, state, and ZIP code

3. Configure File URLs
Add the public URLs where your machine-readable pricing files are hosted:
- Standard charges file (required)
- Shoppable services display (if separate)
- Any additional pricing files
⚠️ Files must be publicly accessible (no login required)
4. Run Your First Scan
Click "Start Scan" to run your first compliance check:
- Scan typically completes in 5-10 minutes
- You'll receive an email when results are ready
- View your compliance score and any violations found
5. Set Up Alerts
Configure how you want to be notified about compliance issues:
- Email alerts for critical violations (immediate)
- Alerts when compliance score drops
- Celebration emails when violations are fixed
💡 We only alert you when something important happens—no noise, no spam.
Understanding Your Dashboard
Compliance Score
Your compliance score (0-100) provides an at-a-glance view of your compliance status:
- 90-100: Excellent compliance - minor or no issues
- 75-89: Good - some issues that should be addressed
- 60-74: Fair - multiple issues requiring attention
- Below 60: Poor - significant compliance problems
Violation Severity
Violations are categorized by their severity and enforcement risk:
Critical
File not accessible, completely missing, or major format errors. High risk of CMS enforcement. Fix immediately.
High
Missing required fields, schema validation failures, or significant data quality issues. Fix within 1 week.
Medium
Data quality issues, outdated information, or best practice violations. Fix within 30 days.
Accumulated Liability
This metric shows the estimated CMS penalties you could face if current violations remain unfixed. Calculations are based on:
- Hospital size (bed count)
- Violation severity and type
- CMS published penalty ranges ($300-$5,500/day)
- Historical enforcement patterns
Note: This is an estimate. Actual CMS penalties may vary.
Working with Violations
Viewing Violation Details
Click any violation to see detailed information:
- Technical description of the issue
- Specific requirements not being met
- Estimated daily penalty
- Step-by-step fix instructions
- Relevant CMS regulation citations
Fixing Violations
- Review the fix instructions provided
- Share technical details with your IT team or vendor
- Implement the recommended changes
- Mark the violation as "In Progress" while working on it
- After deploying fixes, the next scan will verify resolution
- Resolved violations are automatically marked as "Fixed"
Tracking Progress
Use violation statuses to track your remediation efforts:
- Open: Newly detected, not yet addressed
- In Progress: Your team is working on a fix
- Resolved: You've deployed a fix, awaiting next scan
- Fixed: Automatically set when scan confirms resolution
Account & Billing
Subscription Management
Access subscription settings from your account dashboard:
- View current plan and billing cycle
- Update payment method
- Download invoices
- Cancel subscription (takes effect at end of period)
Team Management
Invite team members to collaborate:
- Unlimited users included in subscription
- Role-based access control (admin, viewer)
- Activity logs for audit trails
- SSO available for enterprise customers
